I have been training dogs at Hideaway Kennels for almost 20 years now and still love every second of it. Working with dogs every day has made me fall in love with the process of training and challenges me to constantly keep thinking of new ways to train them better. Creating the Amigo Lead has been an amazing project for me as I continued to test different product ideas trying to create the perfect leash that makes walking even the most stubborn dogs an easy task.
The Amigo Lead is a one of a kind leash that wraps around the dogs' waist to prevent the dog from pulling. When the dog pulls, the leash tightens just in front of their back legs, preventing the dog from pulling with all their weight. The Amigo Lead teaches the dog every time they pull there is pressure on them and discourages this behavior. This leash is also safe for the dog as it tightens around the waste opposed to choking the dog like a traditional leash. Unlike traditional harnesses for pulling dogs, the Amigo Lead won’t increase muscle strength over time allowing more pulling.
· Utilizes Half Hitch System of dog training
· Releases pressure when dog stops pulling
· Adjust to the correct “heel” position for you and your dog
· Avoids choking or pressure on dog’s neck
· Allows Heel on either right or left side
· Discourages pulling
